The digital ZHdK-platform artistcontact provides an opportunity to simplify the contact between local and refugee artists.
Many refugee artists have the desire to get in contact with local artists. Their requests are various: from practical concerns like materials and facilities, to opportunities for collaboratiing in artistic projects. Further, we would like to make refugee artists with their resources, positions and artistic interests more visible, increasing awareness of refugee artists within local artistic communities and triggering further collaborations.
The platform enables local artists to get in touch with peers from other cultures and regions of the world. Ideally it allows all parties a direct transcultural way of learning and development.
artistcontact is a digital billboard, developed as part of the ZHdK-Project “Professional field assessment for artists and designers”. Further information on access to the ZHdK for refugees https://www.zhdk.ch/en/field-assessment.
The pilot phase of artistcontact continues until the beginning of 2020.
